Robert Rachdorf Memorial Campership Award

The Robert “Bob” Rachdorf Memorial Campership Award was created in 1999 to remember longtime Scoutmaster Bob Rachdorf. Mr. Rachdorf was Scoutmaster of Troop 56 for over 10 years and provided guidance to a number of scouts. The Troop prospered under Mr. Rachdorf, both in the number of Eagle Scouts and awards won by the Troop.

The campership is awarded annually to a scout in the Troop. The scout must meet several criteria, determined by the Rachdorf family. The scout must be a seasoned scout (not a first year scout). He must be active in the Troop and community and must have advanced in rank within the past year (or significant progress made toward Eagle Scout by a Life Scout).

The funds for the award are raised by adult leaders who sell wreaths during the holiday season. Troop 56 is proud to recognize the following recipients of the Robert Rachdorf Memorial Campership Award by awarding them with a free week of Summer Camp
