This mountain has many trails for your hiking pleasure, good for all ages from clubs to varsity. They charge a small fee/person when entering the parking area. Trip can be accomplished in a short one day excursion, pack a lunch to have on the summit. Dress according to the weather.

Excellent opportunity for Scouts to experience history and walk Battle Road, held in April on Patriot's Day. Battle on the green starts around 6:00 AM so make sure you arrive around 4:30 AM to get a good viewing site. Or, sleep with other Troops and hike to the battle that morning. Local Councils run this program. More information online.

3491 foot peak, accessible by car, is the highest peak in Massachusetts, and offers visitors views of up to 100 miles. 92 foot high War Veteran's Memorial Tower. Bascom lodge at the summit run by the Appalachian Mountain Club.
