March 10 Camping Trip to The Center - Rowley, MA

Over the weekend of March 10th to the 12th Troop 56 went on a camp out to The Center in Rowley. During the campout we did a number of things.  One of which was rank advancements.  The kids 1st Class and above went to a station to teach the younger scouts how to do the different skills that were required of them.  The stations that we had were whipping and fusing ropes, first aid, fireman chit, tote chip, and knot tying.  While we were there we did not just do advancements we also had a nice game of football.  When it got dark and we could not do much outside we watched a movie on leadership training and Mr. Connelly spoke about each position of responsibility.  We also watched Charlie and The Chocolate Factory on Saturday night.  On Sunday we woke up and packed up but before we could leave there was a guest speaker.  She had climbed the biggest mountain in Maine and told us what she had to do it and how she prepared for it she also had a slide show of photos that of the trip.  This weekend could not have been any more fun than it was and we could not have done it without the leadership and all the adults to help out, thank you for that.  We can’t wait for the next campout.
